How it works

One receipt, from shoebox to sorted.

Send it however it turns up — snapped, emailed or buried in the glovebox. Here’s what happens next, shown on the real product.

Captured

A photo on the run.

Snap it on the spot — or forward it by email. We straighten it, crop it and clean it up, so what lands is flat and framed, ready to read.

Read

Every figure, pulled out.

Vendor, date, total and tax are read straight off the page — no typing, no spreadsheet. You stay in control — review each one, or set a rule so the regulars go through on their own.

Categorised

Sorted into your books.

Each line is matched to the right category, tax code and payment method — using your rules and the categories you’ve set before. What counts as personal stays your call: flag it in a tap.

Reviewed and filed

Ready when you are.

It lands in your library — reconciled and ready. Send it straight to Xero or QuickBooks when you’re ready, or export to MYOB, CSV, Excel or PDF for your accountant.

Less time in the shoebox.
More time at five o’clock.

Dump first, sort later

Throw receipts in as they turn up — no folders, no pre-sorting, no rules to set up first.

A pile in one photo

Snap a whole stack at once and we split it into separate documents, ready for review.

Gets smarter as you go

Fix a category once and the next receipt from that vendor lands the same way. Your rules carry it forward, so there’s less to sort each time.

Export, never locked in

Your records export cleanly to CSV, Excel or PDF whenever you want them — they’re yours.

Made for businesses with messy receipt habits — wallets, gloveboxes, inboxes and desk piles.

Questions, answered.

How does Lazy Finance capture receipts?

Snap a photo on your phone, forward an email, or drop a file — Lazy Finance reads every line automatically: vendor, date, total and tax.

Do I have to categorise anything manually?

No. Each line lands in the right category on its own. Tweak anything off, but for most receipts there is nothing to do.

Does it handle GST and BAS?

Yes. GST is captured per receipt as you go, so your records are export-ready for BAS and your accountant without any end-of-quarter scramble.

What can I export to?

CSV, Excel or PDF — ledger-agnostic, so it works with Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB or whatever your accountant uses. Business tiers and above can also send approved documents directly to Xero or QuickBooks.

Is there a free plan?

Yes — 25 documents a month, 1 entity, no credit card. Capture, review and export at no cost until you need more room.

What does it cost?

Free ($0), Solo ($8.99/mo), Business ($29.99/mo) and Practice ($199.99/mo) — all AUD incl. GST. No lock-in, cancel anytime.

Can I scan cash receipts?

Yes. Anything you can photograph works — including cash receipts and spend you want to claim back. Snap it the moment you get it so nothing gets lost.

Is my data secure?

Everything is encrypted at rest and in transit and isolated per account. Third-party AI providers we use are contractually barred from training on your raw documents. We do use anonymised receipt data to improve our own AI for you — turn this off any time in Settings > Privacy. See our security page for details.
